Wagon Queen Family Truckster Brick Set

Great build. Great price. Fun to do.

I build a lot of Lego and this iconic vehicle has been on my list of things to design and build for years. So I saw this and thought I’d give it a try. Definitely not as good as Lego. Noticeable difference in snapping the bricks together. No revolutionary building techniques (reminded me of some early speed champion builds). It was pretty fragile till about halfway through the build. Overall a decent value, although I doubt there’s any licensing royalties being paid. Stickers were strange, application was like that of a screen protector for a cell phone with another layer that was removed after application. They were also a little large in one dimension making the application need to be perfectly straight. Which is next to impossible despite my best efforts and resulted in a slight overhang or overlap on some of the larger ones. Overall I give it a 5.5/10 brick rating which might be a little biased but not by much.

One of my favorite movies is Vacation! So I needed this set for my collection. The fit and color of the pieces was very nice, with easy to follow instructions. The only real downfall are the stickers. They are a great idea the way they are designed, but they do not allow you to reposition them if you don’t like their placement. I messed up on one of the wood panel stickers and that’s a shame as that helps sell the look of the car. Overall however, I would definitely recommend this kit to anyone who is a fan of the movie and brick building in general !

The moment I saw this, I knew I NEEDED it for my collection. My box arrived and to my dismay, I had some missing pieces. I reached out to the company and they sent me out replacements. They made it so easy! I will certainly purchase again.
