Not Bad

Since Lego is getting exponentially more expensive, and their focus seems to be on licensed kits anyway; I’ve started looking at alternatives. Nifeliz has some good quality kits, as does Mould King. I’d never heard of Brick Loot until I saw ads for them on Instagram. I finally took the plunge with their Wagon Queen Family Truckster kit, as this isn’t something Lego would ever make. I wasn’t disappointed. Brick quality was good, colors were consistent, and (although somewhat awkward to do once assembled) the dry transfer decals are superior to stickers. Instructions could use some refinement, as they’re laid out on a large folded up piece of paper, and the flow isn’t always predictable so steps can be skipped. Also ordered the presidential limo since they were practically giving it away, and the vacation airplane. The limo turned out great, unfortunately being the car JFK was assassinated in probably hurt its popularity. The jet was also good, save for some opacity in the window elements. Nearly as good as Lego, but for a whole lot less money.
